We are unsure why all our keen fisherman keep hooking huge Barra’s, we are talking 1 metre plus in length just a couple of weeks ago one keen angler landed a huge 1.47 metre barramundi that was feeding in less and 20cm of water.
We get asked is the lures we use is it the bait we use, I don’t know just luck maybe, knowledge plays a huge part in landing the big barramundi. I tell them all our happy customers a lot comes down to the catch and release program we encourage. We are serious abour protecting our most precious treasures or fish.
I guess we are spoiled up this way says Micheal of Clearwater Island Lodge / Munupi Wilderness Lodge Melville Island. Our lodge is the original and still rated as the best fishing lodge and location throughout the Tiwi Islands because of our experience and local knowledge. Once you experience the fishing up here in the Top End you will be hooked.
