The Lodge
| Munupi Lodge is a spacious, cool, and relaxing retreat from the sometimes debilitating affects of the tropical climate on Melville Island. It is set amongst acres of well watered lawns, and surrounded by palms and a tropical garden that creates a magnificent ambience for your enjoyment and relaxation.
The living area stretches right through the middle of the building, surrounded on each side by the bedrooms, and open at each end. The area has recently been renovated, and it’s easterly aspect is guaranteed to catch the most casual of cooling Melville Island Lodge breezes. |

| Comforts of Home at Melville Island Overhead are huge cooling fans, a boon to the reviving spirit ( but a potentially fatal trap for wandering fishing rods.) Spend somemuch needed rest in one of the many comfortable chairs and settees. A TV is available with three channels and a range of DVD’s and videos are ready for your enjoyment.For the young or young at heart, a Sony Play Station with all the latest games is ready to go.
The office has Phone, Fax, Email and Internet facilities available to guests on a user pays basis. Urgent supplies can be freighted over on the daily plane from Darwin. |

| The bedrooms are all air conditioned and very comfortable. All rooms have very comforatable single beds, or a double and a single bed. There is a dressing table and draws, towel racks and plenty of hanging space for your clothes. Blow dryers are also fitted in some of the rooms. All linen and toilerties are supplied. |  |

| Fully Licensed Bar and Restaurant There is a fully licensed bar open from 10am to 12.00pm everyday this is situated near the open aired restaurant that looks directly east over the Apsley Straight. The lodge will cater for any special preferences in the way of drinks if you let us know in advance we will have it available for you. |

| Plunge Pool Spa Melville Island The popular plinge pool – spa area is covered with a thatched roof, and can be used throughout the day till late.
The jetty is finished, and makes an idyllic setting for an evening drink while the sun goes down (or comes up!) This is also the mooring for the lodges boats where you will depart from on your days adventures. |
