Importance of Guides

At Munupi Wilderness Lodge, we understand that the experience, skills, personality, willingness and determination of a guide can be the difference between a good fishing trip and a bad one. This is why we employ and train the Traditional Tiwi Islanders as they have proven to excel in being the best in their field with knowledge, determination and experience of their homeland.

At Munupi Wilderness Lodge, we pride ourselves on our willingness to engage with our visitors and teach with patience, understanding and enthusiasm – which is not hard when you love fishing like we do. Munupi Guides offer a fishing experience that explores safety, technique, as well as a diverse range of fishing and cultural experiences. Learn how to fish on the various water systems, as well as hooking mud crabs from a hole or finding bush tucker as traditional Aboriginal Australians with our local guides.

You can be sure that with the help of our expert guides you will hook onto more fish than you can handle.
